Lincoln graduate and pioneer of sustainable furniture design, Sebastian Cox, has won Best Newcomer at Decorex International 2016 which was held in London last week. Decorex International is synonymous with luxury, and renowned for being the event to discover the very best, and most coveted products.
Sebastian is dedicated to designing and making fine objects from sustainable hardwoods. He has worked on projects with Sir Terrance Conran and has been praised by Grand Designs presenter, Kevin McCloud.
He recently teamed up with deVOL Kitchens to develop a range which champions traditional craftsmanship and uses sustainable British wood. They won Designer of the Year at 2016 Home and Garden awards.
Sebastian, who completed a degree in Furniture Making and an MA in Design at the University in 2011, returned to Lincoln earlier this month to give an inspirational talk to graduating students. Watch his talk below.
