International Alumni Event – Chongqing, China

We were pleased to hold the University of Lincoln's first alumni event in China in Chongqing on 31st March 2014

The evening was hosted by Deputy Vice Chancellor Ieuan Owen, at LingLang restaurant Chongqing Tiandi.

The event was a brilliant opportunity for graduates to catch up with each other and network and was well attended by alumni from a range of years and disciplines.

There was huge enthusiasm from the alumni who attended and in response we are now establishing an alumni association in the Chongqing area of China. Yiwen Xu and Eric Zhang are working with the University to establish the association.

Yiwen said: ‘This event is a good start for us to get in touch with more alumni, it is a good platform for us to know more alumni, stay connect with each other and build up our network. I hope more and more alumni in Chongqing or other cities could join us and make this group bigger.’

Eric told us: ‘Yiwen and I feel privileged to work with the University to establish an alumni association in the Chongqing area of China. We are confident that each member in this association will benefit from it and get to know more outstanding alumni. We do hope this is not just a beginning, but a sustainable and far-reaching
influential activity.’

If you are in the Chongqing area and would like more information on how to get involved, or you are interested in holding an event like this in your country please contact the Alumni Office
