Graduate picks up Prime Minister’s award for volunteering

Sam Cotton graduated from the University of Lincoln with a degree in Illustration in 2008, before moving to London to break into the fashion industry.   Now he is one half of acclaimed fashion label Agi & Sam, which has been announced as the UK Nominee for the International Woolmark Prize.

Graduate’s career still skyrocketing four years after Bloomsbury book deal.

When we last spoke to Illustration graduate Mark Chambers (Illustration, 2003) back in 2010, it was easy to see his career was flourishing as he had just landed a book deal with publishing giant Bloomsbury. Four years later and Mark’s career is still on the up having been nominated for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize and winning a Sheffield book award.

When Media Technology graduate, Daniel Bowring, left the University of Lincoln in 2009, he never expected to land a job within two weeks. Four years later, he’s now flown all over the world acting as a camera operator and assistant for productions that have ranged from pop videos in London to documentaries in the Amazon.

Research breakthroughs advance understanding of genetic causes of vascular disease

Dr Rajiv Machado, from the School of Life Sciences, co-author of a special publication detailing the breakthrough research into the causes of this debilitating vascular disease, attended the World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension in 2013 as an invited member of the symposium’s genetics and genomics task-force.
