Siemens announces University of Lincoln as its Global Principal Partner

The University has been awarded Global Principal Partner status for its research and development collaborations with global engineering giant, Siemens. Siemens UK Chief Executive Juergen Maier presented Vice Chancellor Professor Mary Stuart with the formal acknowledgement of this prestigious status during a special visit to the award-winning School of Engineering in July.

The Global Principal Partner programme is a worldwide scheme creating elite partnerships between Siemens and universities. In each country, Siemens nominates a small number of universities to join the programme, to strengthen the areas of expertise in which each university specialises. By the University joining as a Global Principal Partner, Lincoln graduates have an inside line to placements, mentoring and recruitment. Lincoln joins Newcastle, Cambridge and Manchester universities in the global engagement scheme
