Huge success of Chancellor’s radio takeover

Award-winning comedian Reginald D. Hunter and one of the UK’s most distinguished barristers Baroness Helena Kennedy QC joined the Chancellor of the University of Lincoln when he took over the airwaves of the on-campus community radio station. Lord Victor Adebowale turned his hand to DJing as guest presenter on a special programme of Siren FM on Friday 5th June 2015. He was joined for some lively debate and also played listeners a selection of his and his guests’ favourite songs.

Chancellor of the University since 2008, Lord Adebowale is Chief Executive of the leading health and social care organisation Turning Point and is recognised as a leading voice for people affected by poverty, mental health issues, learning disability and complex needs.

In 2000, Lord Adebowale was awarded a CBE and a year later he became one of the first ‘People’s Peers’ when he was appointed a cross bench member of the House of Lords.
