Alumni school events a huge success

We are now nearing the end of our current series of alumni events which have been hugely successful with extremely positive feedback from the students.

The graduates gave hundreds of our current students first-hand, industry specific careers advice and came from years ranging  as far back as 1996 to as recent as 2013.

In a period of just seven weeks over a hundred alumni speakers participated in 11 school events including the 20th anniversary celebrations of both the Media and Law schools.

A wide selection of alumni, in a variety of careers, attended the events including CEOs, Barristers, Television Producers and Directors, Solicitors, PR Managers, Journalists and Radio Presenters.

The School of Media’s alumni event had over 30 graduates in attendance, whilst the Law School’s alumni event preceded a special guest lecture from one of the country’s foremost experts on constitutional law, Baroness Helena Kennedy.

Here is just some of the feedback we received from current students about the events:

-“I enjoyed the range of professionals that were both in the audience and the panel. Fantastic event!”

-“Gives you a real feel for what graduates go through— great advice!”

-“Really enjoyed the day and got some great contacts. I’m looking forward to the next one!”

-“They really knew what they were talking about and I got the sense that they were really passionate.”

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all alumni who gave their time to provide current students with an insight into life after university. It was lovely to hear about their experiences since graduating and we hope they thoroughly enjoyed the time they had back at the University.
