Support and advise current students

Alumni have a good understanding of how students can best prepare themselves for the transition into the world of work, and have a unique understanding of studying at
Lincoln.  We invite you to share your valuable career advice, experiences and expertise with our current students. Your support will assist students in making informed decisions about their future and how to achieve their goals.

Ways to offer students support and advice:

Complete an Alumni Profile

This is a quick and easy way to help current students by passing on your valuable experience and advice. Complete an alumni profile form  to share your knowledge with current students.  Download profile form

Come back to talk to current students

Our students love to hear from relevant guest speakers, especially those who can relate to their experience at Lincoln. Why not come back to talk to current students about life after graduation? This can be done as either part of a lecture, as a special careers event with a panel of alumni, or as part of a drop-in session at a careers event.

Volunteer as a Mentor

Become a mentor and use your knowledge and experience to help the next generation of Lincoln graduates while developing new skills and gaining valuable volunteering experience.

Work Placements and Work Experience

Our students are always interested to find out more about the workplace and to experience a day in the life of particular types of vocations. If you are in a position to offer our current students this type of experience or can recommend someone who can, we would be delighted to hear from you.

If you are interested and would like further information, or to discuss any of the above opportunities, please contact the Alumni Office at or call 01522 835858
